The freezing habitat the Arctic Fox lives in has many different qualities than the environment we live in. For instance, their environment can reach temperatures below freezing! Brr, chilly! Because of these freezing temperature there is barely any vegetation at all. It is also very rocky at places and somewhat flat at other places. Most of the year the Arctic Fox’s habitat is blanketed with snow.
The Arctic Fox is also found in Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Russia, Norway, Scandinavia, and Iceland. In Iceland the Arctic Fox is the only native land mammal! The frigid home of the Arctic Fox is much, much different than our environment. |
